Message from the Superintendent

I am honored to be superintendent of Orono Schools and to work in collaboration with the School Board, teachers, staff members, students, parents and community members to provide an outstanding experience for every Orono student. 

I have worked in public education since 2001 and have been with Orono Schools since 2003. Before taking on the Superintendent role, I was Director of Special Services. Through this role, I provided leadership in the areas of special education, gifted and talented, guidance and mental health, character education, English Language Learners and emergency procedures. I am deeply committed to building upon our excellent school district and strengthening the environment to help all children thrive.

I passionately believe that the future arrives on our campus every school morning. Through our care and commitment, the future steps out after graduation and upholds all we stand for: strong character, connected relationships, and a commitment to lifelong scholarship. Our future is Orono students.
