2024 Orono School Board Election

Key Dates & Information

Three seats will be on the ballot for the November 5, 2024, election. 

Milestones and Instructions Date Time

Candidate Filing Period
An affidavit of candidacy may be obtained from the District Office or the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State website. Candidates must complete and then sign the affidavit of candidacy in the presence of the election clerk at the District Office. A $2.00 filing fee is also required.

July 30 -
August 13
closes 5 p.m.
Orono Schools Candidate-Only Information Session
District Office Assembly Room
685 N. Old Crystal Bay Rd.
August 13 6:30-8 p.m.

Candidate withdrawal period ends; complete and submit the affidavit of withdrawal to the District Office.

August 15 closes 5 p.m.
School Board Candidate Forum
hosted by the League of Women Voters of Wayzata-Plymouth
The Forum is open to the public and will be recorded.

September 10 7 p.m.

Election Day
