SEPPC
The Special Education Parent Partnership Committee (SEPPC) is a collaborative group consisting of district and parent representatives that focus on building trust, open communication, problem solving, sharing new ideas, maintaining MDE compliance and sharing our vision for the excellence in learning for all students. As a community and district, we value your participation and commitment to the continued development of the Orono Special Education Department. Your partnership in the Orono SEPPC makes a difference for students and assists the department in providing the best quality service for our students.
Goals
- To encourage district-wide involvement with parents of students with disabilities, teachers and administrators to effectively enhance opportunities for students and staff.
- To build positive communication between parents, staff and the community.
- To maintain a representative group of parents and staff to implement and develop advocacy strategies for all children with disabilities.
