Activities
Orono Middle School offers a variety of academic and fine arts activities along with a variety of clubs and service opportunities that provide students with multiple avenues to explore their interests, talents and enhance their leadership skills.
Come join us in the art room for a variety of exciting art activities! We will explore and create original artworks using a variety of mediums.
Math Masters is a math enrichment, coaching and competitive program that promotes excellence in math.
The Unified Breakfast Club meets after school once a month to promote inclusion through playing group gym games, outdoor sports games, coloring and socializing.
Come join Writing Club! Students will take a variety of writing from brainstorm to publish including a children's book, a newspaper, a choose-your-own-adventure story, and a poetry collection.
Be a part of capturing memories for your classmates! Students will participate in lessons and activities on how to take pictures, create page layouts, interview peers and more.
Youth in Government is a youth-led, experiential learning opportunity that involves 2,500 middle-school and high school students each year.

MSHSL Sports-Qualifying Physical
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) requires that each athlete have a physical form on file prior to registration. Please download the Physical form, complete the fields and submit to Kim King.
- Scan and email it to kim.king@orono.k12.mn.us Either a very clear photo or use a scanner app on your phone to send a clear image.
- Fax it to 952-449-8359
- Drop it off at the Orono Activities Center front desk to the attention of Kim.
A physical is valid for three years from the date of exam. If you have questions, please contact Kim King at kimberly.king@orono.k12.mn.us.
