OHS Earns Platinum Level on AP School Honor Roll

Orono High School has earned a place on the Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll at the Platinum Level based on student achievement during the 2024-25 school year. The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success.

  • 90% of the Class of 2025 experienced at least one AP course before graduating (the threshold for Platinum is 80%)
  • 91% earned an AP exam score of 3 or higher (threshold is 50%)
  • 31% of students took five or more AP exams, with at least one taken in 9th or 10th grade (threshold for this criterion is 15%).

Congratulations to our students and staff for their hard work and dedication, which made this impressive level of recognition possible.
